David AscherDavid Ascher is a daily user of Python in his computational research on the visual system, as well as a Python developer, trainer and book author. Having just finished the first draft of an upcoming book ("Learning Python", coauthord with Mark Lutz), he is working on the documentation for Numeric Python, as well as on a variety of Python coding projects, focusing on the use of Python for computational modeling, data visualization and advanced object-oriented programming technniques. For example, he is a co-developer and the current maintainer of the interface between Python and the OpenGL graphics library. He is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute in San Francisco, CA. |
