[Pycon 2006]

PyCon 2006 will be held February 24-26 2006 in Addison, Texas (near Dallas), at the Dallas/Addison Marriott Quorum hotel.

A day of tutorials will be held the day before the conference, on February 23, and a four-day sprint will be held after the conference, from February 27 to March 2.

Activities

  • Tutorials: the Call For Tutorials has been posted. The application deadline is November 15th.
  • Sprints: To lead a sprint, or to join an existing sprint, please edit the Sprints wiki page.
  • Talks: the deadline for proposals was October 31st.

Publicity Materials

Want to help publicize PyCon?

  • Download the promotional flyer (letter size, or A4 size, both 30K PDF), print it, cut it up (3 flyers per page), and bring copies to user group meetings or conferences.

    Please note that certain printers, such as inkjets, won't like the slim margins in the PDF files. Either print on a laser printer, or try reducing the print size (zoom).

Accommodations

The Marriott Quorum Hotel has reserved a block of rooms for PyCon attendees at a special rate ($79/night for single/double occupancy, $89/night for triple/quadruple occupancy).

To obtain these rates, you must reserve your rooms using the hotel's special-event page.
