PyCon 2005 Sponsorship

The Python Software Foundation is seeking sponsors for PyCon 2005, which will be held at George Washington University in Washington DC from March 23-25, with a four-day sprint from March 19-22 preceding the event proper.

This year we are hoping to attract even more Python enthusiasts, and need your assistance to ensure that the event brings an even larger proportion of the Python community together in this highly-available and extremely popular conference format. To this end the sponsorship packages have changed slightly, but I am sure you will be able to find something that meets your needs. The following packages are available:

  • Platinum: Top billing on the web site and conference literature. Keynote sponsorship. Banner (if provided) in main conference room. Tote bag insert. Listing and logo placement in convention program. Platinum sponsorship link on conference web sites until the end of 2005. Two full three-day passes. $5,000. One only.
  • Gold: Sponsorship of Guido van Rossum's presentation for the first organization to reserve gold sponsorship. Tote bag insert. Banner (if provided) in conference room. Listing and logo placement in convention program. Gold sponsorship link on conference web sites until the end of 2005. One full three-day pass. $2,000. Five slots.
  • Silver: Named sponsorships of either a development sprint or morning or afternoon breaks. Banner (if provided) in sprint room or break area. Tote bag insert. Listing and logo placement in convention program. Silver sponsorship link on conference web sites until the end of 2005. $500. Ten slots.

Other sponsorship opportunities are also available, and I would be grateful if you would consider adding one of these to the opportunities above:

  • Party sponsorship: Choose a venue and format to attract PyCon delegates, and throw a party. We will advertise the party in all collateral, publicize it in the conference materials and announce it during conference presentations.
  • Bag insert sponsorship: provides you with the opportunity to present a message and marketing materials to each delegate. $200. Unlimited slots.
  • Media sponsorship: List the conference in a prominent position on your web site and we will link to your site from your logo on the PyCon site. Reporting organisations may also send a representative to meet with speakers and delegates, providing a unique opportunity to keep your finger on the pulse of an important part of the open source world. Free. Unlimited slots.
