Is there a python-mode.el for Emacs?

I am _brand_ new to python. So far, I am hugely impressed. After following
this news group for the past 3 weeks, I finally succumbed and built python
(1.2.4 beta) for NEXTSTEP (fat binary for HPPA and Motorola) yesterday. I
have not done anything interesting yet, but so far everything in the tutorial
works perfectly.

I thought that at some point in the past few weeks that someone posted a
pointer to a python-mode.el or possibly it was a desire for one. I am very
interested in one as well.

Additionally, if there exists an updated version of hilit19.el that includes
the keywords and constructs for python a pointer to that would be greatly
appreciated as well.
