I don't know about any foster parent, but we (a small group here at WSU)
have been using vpApp to write a temporal multimedia editor. Python
works great, and we have been loving it. I've been the primary user
of vpApp, however, and besides snags here and there, probably because
of my inexperience with X, Motif, Python, vpApp, and finally object
oriented programming in general, it's been going fairly well, and I've
been enjoying creating things with relative ease.
I am putting in my two cents worth because I'm rather impressed with
the speed and ease of use in getting tangible stuff running with vpApp.
