So, unless you're willing to get filthy dirty, you probably should go back

Everything here is old.  Most of it has security problems.  We like to
claim it's here just in case we need to figure out when something changed,
or need to see how something was done once-upon-a-time.  The truth is we're
just pack rats and hate to throw this stuff away.

This area is organized by site.  To remove possible confusion over version
numbers, release kits are named by the date and time of release.  Symbolic
links showing the original release name have been created to the kit.  Note
that some versions (2.4, for instance) were rereleased; the symbolic link
points to the latest rerelease.

A comment on some version numbers, circa version 2.4.1:

Email and internal notes in early releases from Stan Barber show a great
deal of confusion over version numbers.  To correct this problem, Stan
bumped the version number to 2.4.2, so 2.4.1-beta-1 is also known as
2.4.2-beta-1, and the next version is 2.4.2-beta-2.

Other versions with this confusion are 2.4-academ which is alternately
referred to 2.4.1-academ.
