By way of explanation, the mb_inc.c patch that lance just forwarded
was evidentaly only necessary for those of us intially trying-out
metalbase, and depending on the faux encryption code used by
non-subscribing metalbasers. Ie, metalbase would work for subscribers
with the real encryption code, but not for faux-encrypters, unless
they use this patch. (Anyone out there on the metalbase mailing list?
The patch should be forwarded there, but i never got acknowledgement
when i tried to subscribe...)

This is for metalbase 5.1, btw, and (not that it should matter) i am
using it on sunos 4.1.3.
