os.listdir bug on a NeXT

I have tried to use the os.listdir(path) function on a NeXT (NeXTstep 3.2,
m68k) and found out, that it does not work right: The first four
characters of each directory entry are cut off. Somehow the direct or
dirent structures are not correctly defined. Does anybody have a fix for
that?
