Python 2.1.3 - a bugfix release for Python 2.1Note: This is not the most current Python version. See the download page for a more recent version. On April 8 2002, we're releasing Python 2.1.3 - a bugfix release of Python 2.1. This release has a small number of critical bug fixes. This is the final release of Python 2.1.3. While the most recent release of Python is 2.2, there are a couple of bugs that have come up since 2.1.2 was released, in particular one bug that caused Zope to crash. What's New?
Download the releaseWindows users should download Python-2.1.3.exe, the Windows installer, from one of the download locations below, run it, and follow the friendly instructions on the screen to complete the installation. Windows users may also be interested in Mark Hammond's win32all, a collection of Windows-specific extensions including COM support and Pythonwin, an IDE built using Windows components. Update (2002/04/23): Windows users should download a new UNWISE.EXE from Wise that fixes a bug which could cause the uninstaller to disappear in some circumstances. Just drop it over the old uninstaller, which will be at C:\Python21\UNWISE.EXE unless you chose a different directory at install time. Users on other platforms should download the source tarball. You can download Python-2.1.3.tgz, from one of the download locations below, and do the usual "gunzip; tar; configure; make" dance. Download locations
