various fax modems.  NOTE THE ABOVE COPYRIGHT.  In particular, if I
find this paper published anywhere or the results used in any vendor

All the vendors whose modems were evaluated have been provided a copy
of this report.  This version reflects the (lack of) feedback I have
received from them.
