[hylafax-users] ACK! RE: samba queue
So I've found that each time I print a file from a word document on my Win98
client with the contents....
Fax-Nr : 8375699
This is a test fax…
to my local postscript (apple laserwriter) printer that is mapped to
\\fmf-fax\faxlp (defined in /etc/printcap as...
faxlp:\
:lp=/dev/null:\
:sd=/var/spool/lpd/fax:\
:if=/var/spool/fax/bin/sambafax:\
:sh:sf:mx#0:
)
I get an email stating that ...

The faxnumber is recognised via this text:
Fax-Nr : ddd-ddddddd
No spaces or characters are allowed between the digits, just a -
Please correct and retry
It doesn't seem to matter how much I monkey with the Fax-Nr line. I keep
getting the reject email no matter what variation I use on the number.
Anyone have any thoughts?

Subject: [hylafax-users] samba queue
Hi,
I've attempted to setup an lpd/samba queue for faxing (using
http://www.hylafax.org/archive/2000-09/msg00071.html as a guide) and am not
having much success.
I can see and print to all my /etc/printcap printers from windows. I've
created the Apple Laserwriter printer on my client machine that points at
the faxlp printcap entry on Linux/hylafax which uses the input filter in the
link above (yes it's been chmod'd to be executable) but still nothing
happens when I print to it. No new log in /var/spool/fax/log, no entries in
/var/log/messages, no nothing!
Can someone point me in the right direction to find out why nothing happens?
Thanks,
