I have uploaded a file 'ref.ps.gz' on 
'ftp.aiai.ed.ac.uk:/pub/packages/wxwin/incoming' which contains the
reference manual for wxWindows 1.65 formatted in a more compact way. It
will print on only 76 sheets in duplex mode (152 pages).

I have imported the LaTeX files into FrameMaker and there reduced the character
size for most formats to 9 pt, and made it double-column, double-sided.
I think this format is good then you use it as a reference, there are only
76 sheets (the original have over 300).

It should be possible to achieve the same effect in LaTeX too. Is there any
Tex guru who know how to do it ?
