This is a "Hello World" tutorial for programmers looking for a basic introduction to programming the BeOS. Covers the general structure of BeOS applications and how applications interact with the Servers and Kits of the BeOS. Introduces the concepts of threads and objects in the BeOS.

If you want an introduction to programming the BeOS, this is the place to start. Once you've conquered this, move on to the January and other sample code. (also located in the "Samples" directory of the Be FTP site)
